Highlights

Designed, manufactured, and tested a robot to successfully complete the five events of the ASME 2017 Student Design Competition: The Robot Pentathlon.

  • 3D CAD of full robot assembly in SOLIDWORKS
  • Designed mechanisms for ball launcher, ball kicker, and platform lift

Background

  1. Sprint - down 10 m track and back as fast as possible
  2. Lift - heaviest weight as high as possible
  3. Throw - a ping pong ball as far as possible
  4. Climb - up a small set of stairs
  5. Hit - a ping pong ball as far as possible from off the ground
